This will be a hard one. I have really liked Lyons for years but Wayne is very good and was kinda a hero in the tornado in Evansville. I think I will wait and see what others say but right now im leaning Jeff Lyons because of his long time work with ham radio operators who assist in gathering news and on the spot reports of our local weather.

I like Ron, he's quirky.

Jeff Lyons is too rigid and boring, Chad Sewich is better imho, Byron Douglas overuses animations on his weather map (can't see the actual radar for his puddle duckies and frontal systems)

Wayne Hart is too exaggerative. I've always known him as Worst Case Wayne...take a forecast and add emphasis and hellaciousness to it, and that's Wayne.

for chief ill pick ron. but for any weather person,i kinda like a little about all of them. funny huh? as far as quirky byron is the quirkeist, i actually enjoy the ducks ,puddles etc he has. ally is ok not anything special,just the weather. as far as stacey i have a blast watching her in the morning. she has a little hop when she when she is on the right side of the tv then moves to the other side. might sound funny but i enjoy it. hope she doesnt read this and quit doing it. .any way i like em all.

I like Ally Vanek on the channel 7 morning show, her and the other blonde girl are funny for 5am and entirely too chipper to be natural. lol

Btw, I realize this is a bit off topic, but when is Ann Komis (and Mike Blake too) going to retire? Am I the only person who finds her extremely annoying? Here lately she can't read worth a hoot, I don't like her personality, she seems so faux in her compassion, and she just generally rubs me the wrong way. She's why I don't really watch 14 News if I can help it.

Mike Blake seems all to fake. I tend to watch Mid-day with Mike just to see the "experts" that come on the show taking phone calls. Some of them are jokes. Worst one has to be RJ Champion of Champion computers in Evansville. He has been stumped by some of the easiest questions...then to save face he tells them to make a appiontment with his business. If I was going to be on television I would be damn sure I knew just about everything about the topic I'm being a "expert" on.

One thing I like about Mike Blake is his wardrobe. He dresses sharp.

Now to the weather....

Ron is fun to watch when it is a normal week with nothing heading our way.
Wayne Hart is the only one I watch during any threat of a severe storm but he does get a bit crazy reporting on the ones that are 200 miles away and he is still on air...and the chumps on 14 are just that..chumps. Duckies and puddles are for kids, and that Jeff Lyons guy is nothing all that special. He's really looking old these days. Guess to much time in front of the green screen.

How about the one weather dude with the tremendous bags under his eyes, Kerry Dean. I remember when he used to be on Channel 2 out of Terre Haute. My former Bro-in-law told me that this guy graduated from South Knox in mid 70's and Dean is actually his middle name. His real last name was/is apparently something either very long or unappealing, I guess. Kind of like Cheryl Stofflemore (aka Cheryl Ladd) I met her when I was going to school in her hometown of Huron, South Dakota.:cool:

I went on a bus trip to the MCC NCAA Mens Basketball Toun in Dayton Ohio with Marcia back in the 80s. She chartered 3 bus's and I got on her bus on our trip to watch UE play. What a treasure she was. They truely only made one of Marcia Yockey.

She didn't always give you a real forecast, but you got to see lots of isobars and temps on her maps. Once you figured out what she was all about, you could "connect your own dots", so to speak, to figure out the forecast...which probably was as good as what you could get from anybody else!
