I'll have to check that out!!!!! I was reminessing just last night how I used to walk around the square on Christmas eve and go in all the stores. I used to work at JC Penneys all through high school and loved working the Christmas season there! Times sure have changed!

dad and i sat at watched the channel 7 (PCHS's channel on insight) for about 30 minutes one night over the holidays. It only makes me wanna go out and make millions, then come back to princeton and fix these places up back to their grandeur

No doubt! This town has lost much of its beauty and charm in the name of "progress" and "modernization." Beautiful older homes demolished and glorious old facades covered in sheet metal siding and generic bricking. Ugh.

I'd rather the pictures were side by side & allow the user to click to the next slide when I am ready- like a power point presentation. I'd have no clue what building I was looking at until it went to modern time & I'd go "No way!" but it was hard to go back to the last pic.

I love these old buildings. But with buying old ones, there are lots of problems to address. Zoren bought the tallest bldg on S Main for $1. He's had to gut it completely because the roof leaked for decades. There was literally a hole from the roof down all 4 floors from water damage! He's been working on it & plans to have the first floor rented out in a few months. He sees the potential in it, as do I. He's got $23,000 in it so far. I can't wait to see what he does with it!

I see the downtown area being totally redone in the next few decades. I see upscale lofts with roof terraces, condos with modern ammenities & covered parking. I see charm & history & pride returning... If you could see it through my eyes...

Isn't it awful that alot of these buildings have been torn down or covered up? What is going on with the olf 5/3rd building or Silver Spur? (which is the UGLIEST building on the square!!)

That is a LOVELY thought! It would be so nice to see something like this happen!

I seen the video of Princeton Then and Now. It was so interesting to watch and see what Downtown and the other areas of princeton looked like. I grew up in Princeton but now living in Oakland City. I was amazed of how much Princeton has changed

Use to think the flame on gas company( I think it was Nu-Gas) looked neat as a kid.
