Let's hear your opinions
Vote.
I think it's good the way it is, but what the heck.

I like most of the current threads, but especially love the ones with news and gossip of what's going on in Gibson County.
I like the ones that teach me something new, for example anything dealing with technology (I am clueless about most of that.)
I love that Scannerman and Charlie keep everyone updated on weather and natural disasters. (How about something on flood stages next week?)
I get a kick out of the ghosts and aliens threads.
I like being able to stay up-to-the minute with the basketball team.
I enjoy just about any "what-would-you-do" thread. Any kind of how-to do it thread.
I like threads about nature, gardens, local resouces, etc.
The classified ads are great.
What I DON'T like is when threads turn into endless, non-productive rants, with nobody listening to anyone else, "beating the dead horse".

Oh, I forgot a few things.
I like the Reviews, especially when Arn reviews a book.
Also, I like anything about history. I liked Wkd's recent posts from the Gibson Co. History Book. Arn, Jennifer and others have given us some good stuff on local history.
As far as old businesses in Gibson County and such go, some of the ones I remember were gone long before most of you were born. But I like to read your stories as you recall your own memories.
About Princeton sports: I can recall when every little school in the county hated Princeton and wanted to beat them. Now, I read every local sports thread and wish all of them well (Gibson Southern and East Gibson, too.)

I totally agree with Sybil. I am a history buff, and love to hear old stories or see pictures of time gone by. I love to sit and listen to my grandmother talk about her youth or when her and my grandfather moved to Owensville 60 years ago. How many things have changed.

I am on a lot of forums and notice that they have a sweepstakes forum for online sweepstakes.. That may be an option..

The poll should allow multiple answers.

What kinds of threads do you want on gcn besides religion/politics
Welcome, kmusic.
?? but the first two choices on the poll list are religion and politics ??
can you add "other" and then show what the "others" are ?
