At home we have insight cable.
At PF we have a tall antanae & a flat screen TV, so we figured it may be ok.
This morn, there was nothing but snow & I figured I'd have to call for a cable install, but Melissa Blackburn reprogrammed the TV & we now get 14 channels clear as can be! We only had 5 before & sometimes they would not be clear.

I wonder what the old analog channels will be used for now? Will people start broadcasting from their homes?

I read a while back that the government was going to sell the air waves! I asked to see the contract where they purchased them from God but they haven't brought it out for public view yet. LOL! Nevertheless, I'm sure the earnings will save us from paying more exorbitant taxes. :p
I think most people were prepared for this, so far I havent heard of a huge volume of calls coming in today from people who lost service from their antenna and wanting to have cable installed. The past month sales have picked up in part to the BIG switch
have still yet to hear much or any thing negative about the switch over, went smoother then many thought.
Havent heard from Phil, he may be busy putting up taller antennas for people.

My mother had a bit of trouble. When they made the switch she lost Channel 25. I called Grubb's store and was told that Channel 7 changed their frequency/band? and Channel 25 took the place of 7's. The solution was to rescan the channels so the converter box would find the new spot for 25 since it was not in its old place.
Worked like a charm for her. Thanks, Grubb's.
I'll bet Grubb and Phil both have got several calls. We got calls before hand with people asking if they would have to do something special being on cable but after the switch its been pretty quite

As if THAT never happens .
I was wrong. I get a few PBS channels & a music channel & 1 or 2 others now. For the few days after the switch, I got a bunch of channels, so I thought I'd be ok. I'm not.
So, what are my choices? How much is this going to cost me to get cable or satelite for my members?

I had the TV tuned to an analog station during the switch-off because I wanted to see what happened...turned out to be totally anti-climactic.
