Hello
Sybil just emailed me and told me she is having trouble getting on GCN..
Not sure what may be causing her not to be able to access GCN??
I am not a mac user and have no idea what is causing her not to be able to log on??
It may be from the web browser, Internet explorer, Firefox.. I am not sure what browser she is using.. Any ideas let me know.. Thanks :)
It would be Safari, and I have no problems.

I told her to download firefox from Mozilla for right now and see if that helps her..
But she couldnt log on with her Mac and several Macs at the college either so not really sure whats up with that..

I tried trukindave's Mozilla Firefox fix, and am back for the first time in a long time. (Okay, no need for everyone to celebrate!)
Thanks, Dave, for your help.
I've been undergoing severe GCN withdrawal. I reluctantly tried Facebook again, and that's just not for me. What a lame way to communicate!. (Okay, I guess it's one step up from texting, which, to me, is the world's worst form of communication!) I even tried to check out Twitter, but ran into problems in getting registered for that.
So, I'm looking forward to catching up on all of the GCN news and gossip.

Well I wasnt sure if Firefox was going to work with the symptoms you were describing but Mozilla firefox is awesome and is a great program..
I am glad you are back on :)

I just tried using my Safari browser to get on GCN, and I can. So now I have a choice between that and Firefox. I don't have to jump through quite as many hoops when using Safari, so I'm glad that's an option again.

suki,
Earlier, I could not use Safari, but now I can. I have 2 Macs, one old & one new, and for a while I could not log onto GCN using Safari on either computer.
trukindave had me try firefox, and it worked.

I've always used a Mac - both desktop and notebook - to get on. I use Safari and Firefox interchangably with no problems. I'm glad yours is working now.

Me, too. Thanks.
I get a lot of "Mac bashing" from my son who lives up here near me, but I'm too stubborn to change. I use ONLY laptops now; got rid of my old desktop a few years ago. I'm also completely wireless now.
